The board at our gate says it plainly, and that's the job list. Everyday cars, work utes and the odd rally car. If it needs fixing, bring it to Kern Street.

We're on Kern Street in Gordonvale, on the southside of Cairns. Look for the long white shed with the yellow script along the top and the service board at the gate.
Locals, driving schools and travellers who've broken down on the way through all end up here. Our reviews say the same thing over and over: they fitted me in at short notice, and got me back on the road.

On the hoist
The flamed Torana is ours.
That orange and purple Torana with our name down the side isn't a customer's. It's the shop's own drag car, and it lives in the same workshop your daily driver comes into.
Spend a weekend at the strip and you learn fast what a car sounds like when something's not right. That ear comes back to work on Monday.

The couch in our office was the back end of a car once. There's cold water, an air-conditioned office out of the heat, and a wall of racing records and event plates to read while the job gets done.
Ask about anything on the wall. Fair warning, it might take a while.

“Great service, I am an out of towner, has a break down nearby after hours on the weekend, Racq suggest towing to Slingshot for a Monday look. The boss there helped me first thing, had me on the road by the afternoon. And they were short a mechanic that day too. This was on a 26 year old suzuki Baleno sedan btw, not exactly the flashest car on the block. They treated me like a local with a Prado :)”
